Rahmat Shah powers Afghanistan's 3 wickets win over WI

Rahmat Shah powers Afghanistan's 3 wickets win over WI

Mar 15, 2018 - 22:08

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan beat West Indies (WI) by three wickets in the super six stage of World Cup Quilters (WCQ) played in Zimbabwe on Thursday.

WI won the toss and decided to bat; the Caribbean batting line could not found great momentum to build up a huge total and were restricted to 197.

The Afghan spin bowling was superb as usual and did not allow the WI batsmen to score free runs and took wickets at regular intervals.

Rahmat Shah powered Afghanistan’s batting with his 109 balls 68. The middle order batsmen played their part and made sure that Afghanistan won the match. Afghan side finally chased the target of 198 in loss of seven wickets and 47.4 overs.

Mujib was declared player of the match with this three wicket grab.
