A demining worker gunned down in Samangan

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A demining worker of Halo Trust organization was allegedly gunned down by his colleague in central Uruzgan province.

On the other hand, two bodyguards of public order police commander were wounded in a separate incident in central Parwan province.

Qari Ebadullah, the chief of Khuram Sarbagh district of Uruzgan, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mahmod, a worker of Halo Trust was killed in the organization’s building in Kalor village of the district on Saturday night.

“This man probably killed by his colleague named Azam who is a resident of Andarab district of Baghlan province, the shooter managed to escape after the incident,” he said.

He said that local people arrested two of their villagers in connection of the murder. The nature of this incident would be cleared after investigations.

According to another report, Col. Haron Mubariz, the public order police commander for third battalion was survived from an armed attack in Ghorband area of Parwan province. However, two of his bodyguards were injured in the incident.

Mubariz told Pajhwok Afghan News that he was heading from Kabul to Parwan province when his vehicle came under attack from unidentified armed men in Chesham-I-Dogh area of the province late on Saturday.

He said that only two of his bodyguards were wounded and he was escaped unhurt. “Few days back, Taliban threatened me of death” Mubariz concluded.

No any groups so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
