Pakistan free key Afghan Taliban member

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan released key member of the Afghan Taliban’s central council on Saturday from a hidden prison in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province, a well-placed sourced said.

Mullah Hamdullah Nanai, was arrested by the Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in 2016 from Quetta by the Pakistani military and was transferred to undisclosed location, a reliable Taliban source in the Gulf country told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Nanai belonged to Alkozai Tribe hailed from the Arghandab district of Kandahar province.

He served as minister of Public Work), minister of Communications and Information Technology and minister of Agriculture during the Taliban regime.

He is a senior member of the Taliban's Supreme Council --- so called Quetta Shura --- and one of the few decision makers in Taliban's Movement.
