KABUL (Pajhwok): Painting arts of women, depicting the bad situation of women in Afghanistan, were put on display in capital Kabul on Saturday.

Shakila Shaqaiq Payez, head of Change for Afghan Women organization, who organized the exhibition, told Pajhwok Afghan News that more than 50 artworks of women were on the display at the show.

“Most of these artworks focus on violence against women in Afghanistan”, she said. “The Change for Afghan Women organization is providing a training program to improve women’s painting skills,” she added.

Friba Pernian, a 16 years old girl who displayed her 12 artwork pieces in the exhibition, was happy about the program. She said her paintings reflected facts women faced in the country.

“This exhibition is good, we can know more artists here and achieve more experiences and inspiration, we also introduce our works to others,” she said.

Samir, one of the visitors, said such programs helped reduce violence against women and improve women’s skills.
