KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The new building of provincial council of northeastern Kunduz was inaugurated on Thursday, an official said.

Amruddin Wali, the provincial council head, who was speaking to the inauguration ceremony of the facility, said that the project cost $300,000 and funded by the Germany’s GIZ organization.

The three-storey building contains 15 rooms and took eight months to complete, he said.

The provincial council had no building and people did not know the exact address of their representatives,” Wali said, adding the facility would help people to easily find their representatives.

Toryali Kakar, provincial council deputy head, said that the government should also pay attention to development of other parts of Kunduz province.

“Previously we were working in rental houses, but this new facility resolved our problems a lot,” he said.
