Bamyan Tajiks’ &Pashtuns Movement for Justice Declaration About UNESCO Session in Tokyo
The Bamyan Tajiks’&Pashtuns Movement for Justice, on numerous protesting occasions, has raised the issue of ethnic cleansing in Bamayan and confiscation of Tajik’s land and properties in this city. They do this under the self-designed Red and Green Zones cultural masterplan in Bamyan City. This masterplan is one those pretexts under which the Bamyan authorities confiscated the lands and properties of Tajiks and confiscated the identity of the city for the benefit of Hazaras, while Bamyan has been a Tajik city throughout the history. Based on the recent ethnic policies of Bamayan authories and particularly the Red and Green Zone plan, about 2000 families have been forcefully moved from their ancestral land and property. Here are the cases we share with the related institutions:
in this session, no one has been invited from the native people living in the area around the two giant statues of Salsal and Shahmama. This is just ignoring our people’s right and those who had participated are accountable for this anti-human rights act.
Someone by the name of Shukria Neda who is not a resident of Bamyaan, but Ghazni, has participated in this this session to speak and represent Bamyan. She can’t represent the culture and the people of Bamyan. This act is another reason that justifies our complains against Mr. Reza who is UNESCO agent in Bamyan.
3- once again we ask for fair and just amendment in Cultural Master Plan of Bamyan to insure the security of live and properties of Bamyan Tajiks& Pashtuns and request from the secretariat of the UNESCO to pay serious attention to this issue.
Regards.
