Sep 07, 2017 - 15:53

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A child suicide bomber surrendered to police in eastern Nangarhar province, where a man accused of killing two Afghan soldiers was arrested, officials said Thursday.

The alleged would-be bomber, who had himself prepared for an attack, surrendered to police in Batikot district in a surprise move, said the governor’s spokesman.

Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the child bomber, Noor Agha, had been convinced by his brother and father to carry out a suicide attack, but he surrendered.

The child had confessed he was encouraged by his father and brother to carry out a suicide bombing on security forces.

Separately, police in Haska Mena district said they had arrested a man named Qari Yasir for alleged killing two ANA soldiers and their uncle. Yahir has links with Daesh, police said.

In Surkhrod district, police claimed to have arrested an alleged human trafficker, Faridon.
