Razzaq to play for Amo Sharks in Afghan League

Razzaq to play for Amo Sharks in Afghan League

Sep 06, 2017 - 10:02

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan's former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has signed a contract with the Afghan Cricket League.

He will play for Amo Sharks in the Shpageeza Cricket League, a popular one-day event organised by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

Renowned ex-Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi had also tweeted earlier that he would be part of the Afghan Cricket League.

But the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), unhappy with Afridi’s decision, decided not to issue non-objection certificates to cricketers participating in the league.

Afridi has approached the PCB for an NOC regarding the Big Bash League, not the Afghan League.

Among others, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal, Babar Azam, Sohail Tanvir and Ruman Raees are also expected to play in the Afghan League.

All matches will be played in Kabul in September. PCB has decided not to issue NoCs to the Pakistani cricketers to deter them from participating in the league.
