KABUL (Pajhwok): The first flight bringing back home Afghan pilgrims from Saudi Arabia would land at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul on Wednesday, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs said on Monday.

On September 6, the ministry said in a statement, around 1,000 pilgrims would be brought back home in total three flights and the post-hajj operation would take a month to complete.

Some 30,000 Afghan pilgrims have been flown to Saudi Arabia for the performance of this year’s pilgrimage from airports in Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar and Herat cities.
