Taliban kill 4 civilians over spying in Parwan

Dec 10, 2016 - 16:12

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Taliban have shot dead four people over allegedly spying for the government against the group in Seyagard district of central Parwan province, the district administrative head said on Saturday.

Hedayatullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the four civilians were killed after two Taliban militants were killed and a third wounded in an airstrike in Syedano valley.

After the airstrike, the Taliban captured five civilians in the area over passing on information to security forces about the presence of Taliban in the area.

The militants shot dead four of the five civilians Friday on evening and released the fifth, Hedayatullah said.

Malak Mohammad Sharif, a resident of Sydano village, said the militants captured Azem Gul, Chaman Gul, Bagh Gul, Kudai Noor and Younus Gul. They freed Younus but shot dead the four including Chaman Gul and Bagh Gul, who were brothers.

He said the slain people had no links with government.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
