ASADABAD (PAN): Three civilians, including a baby girl, were injured in cross-border shelling from Pakistan into the Dangam district of eastern Kunar province, a senior official alleged on Wednesday.

Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News 38 missiles had been fired over the past 24 hours into the border areas of the district. A baby girl was among three people injured in the strikes that also caused material losses.

More than 50 people have been killed and wounded as a result of the missile attacks since the beginning of this year.
