2 Afghan soldiers killed in Kunar

<!--break--><p>ASADABAD (PAN): Two Afghan soldiers were killed and three injured when a convoy of Afghan and foreign forces hit a roadside bomb in the eastern province of Kunar, officials said on Friday.</p><p> The explosion happened Thursday evening as the joint Afghan National Army (ANA) and ISAF convoy were patrolling Shinki area of Chapa Dara district, ANA commander in eastern zone, Col. Muhammad Afzal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.</p><p>Two soldiers were killed, three wounded and their vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast, he said.</p><p>The condition of the wounded was stable and they were being treated at a district clinic, he added.</p><p>The media office for the International Security Assistance Force in the eastern zone said two of their vehicles hit two roadside bombs in Ghaziabad and Chapa Dara districts of the province. The vehicles were partially damaged, but there were no casualties.</p><p>Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed responsibility for the blast, adding eight Afghan soldiers were killed and several others injured in the blasts.</p><p>myn/cas</p>
